The new callas pdfToolbox Server build on the same philosophy as the callas pdfToolbox 4 plug-in which has proven its value as a powerful and productive all-in-one PDF production tool since the successful introduction at drupa 2008. With its greatly extended feature set, non-experts can now go beyond preflighting and fixing PDFs in record time. Also pdfToolbox 4 has been updated to include powerful metadata capabilities.

19.09.2008: Version 4 of PDFpenPro available!
PDFpen Pro in version 4 for working in Office under MacOS was significant reworked and enhanced by the specialists of “Smile On My Mac”. PDFpen Pro contains several functions for editing, correcture, OCR and commentation of PDF files and therefore well spent money for MacOS users, creating PDF by their operating system. 12.09.2008: PitStop for Acrobat 9 and in several languages!
With the so called „Update 2“ of the popular PDF-Editor Enfocus PitStop Professional and PitStop Server are fully compatible with the new version 9 of Adobe Acrobat respectively with PDF 1.8. Specially users in the prepress market can use the software as usual to preflgiht and correct incomming files. Both products are in localised versions: German, French, Italian, Spain, English. 03.09.2008: pdfaPilot compliant with Isartor test suite!
Callas software, leading supplier of PDF technologies for document management, archiving, publishing and print production announces full compliancy of its pdfaPilot products with the Isartor test suite for PDF/A. The Isartor test suite is available as a free download from www.pdfa.org and enables users to determine whether a PDF/A validation tool can be considered PDF/A compliant.
21.08.2008: callas pdfToolbox 4 maintenance release!
The update of callas pdfToolbox 4 (version 4.0.005) contains some improvements belonging fonts and spot colors. Additionally, embedded Output Intent is respected if respective option is activated in PDF/X conversion setup dialog and also French documentation was added. Until end of September callas pdfToolbox 4 is available for introductory price (EUR 100 less). The new version can be found in the download area.
04.08.2008: Iceni Argus in updated version 6!
The new version 6 of Iceni Argus for bulk conversion of PDF into text- or imageformats (HTML, TIFF, RTF, ....) on a server now support the current PDF specifications and provides new features and macros for better integration and flexible reuse of content. 15.07.2008: callas pdfToolbox 4 available!
The new pdfToolbox from callas software is now available in version 4 . Callas basically changed working with PDF so now you can solve often used tasks with one click or optimize PDF files for a special kind of usage. Free demo versions can be copied from the download area. Until the end of September callas pdfToolbox 4 will be offered for 399 Euro. Beginning with the 1st of Oktober 2008 callas pdfToolbox 4 will cost 499 Euro.

29.04.2008: Infix as Pro- and Server application!
With the new version 3 of Iceni Infix editing text in PDF is like directly using familiar word processor tools such as rulers and tabs, search and replace and spell checking. In addition, Infix provides all the tools of a PDF editor such as crop, rotate, move graphics, scale etc. With batch processing of Infix Pro hundreds of documents can be edited f.e. by changing address details. The new Infix Server is designed for integration into newspapers, magazines and other high-volume producers who need the flexibility provided by dynamic PDF and web-to-print.
16.04.2008: Better PDF/A applications based on PDF/A testsuite!
The PDF/A testsuite "Isartor" was announced at the international PDF/A conference in Amsterdam to be publicly available in early summer 2008. All PDF/A related products from callas software like pdfaPilot and pdfaPilot Server will support Isartor from the first date the testsuite is being published.

The features of Compose have been integrated into the new version 6 of ISIToolBox. Existing moduls have been improved and extended. The product Compose will not be shipped anymore. Image Solutions offers a free upgrade for all Compose users to the Standard Edition of the new ISIToolBox 6.0.
08.04.2008: Crackerjack 5 MacOS compatible to Acrobat 8!
It took a long time but ARTS PDF now offers even for Crackerjack MacOS users a version compatible to Acrobat 8. The current releases need MacOS X 10.2.2 or higher and are available as a free demo versions in the download area.
08.04.2008: Enfocus NEO in version 1.2.2!
Enfocus presents the professional PDF editing application NEO in version 1.2.2, containing some improvements as for example an option to backup when saving the file and to define a distance value when moving objects by transformations tool. The trapping tool is splitted: it is now possible to trap objects against the background and to create object-to-object traps. The update is free for all users of Neo 1.13.
07.03.2008: PitStop Server 4.5 will be ready in March!
Enfocus has announced the new version 4.5 of PitStop Server for high-volume PDF preflighting and automatic corrections of PDF files. The solution for automatical proof and correction of PDF files now can run as a service on Windows and a login item on Mac OS X® 10.4 and offers more powerful functions. PitStop Server 4.5 will be a free update for current PitStop Server 4.x users, the update from earlier versions will be chargeable.

01.02.2008: Gradual Software releases support for callas pdfAutoOptimizer!
Gradual Software and callas software today released SWITCH 07 update 3 with support for callas software pdfAutoOptimizer. The maintenance update for SWITCH introduces a number of smaller features and fixes, but also for the first time makes flattening of live transparencies available through the use of callas pdfAutoOptimizer on Mac OS X and Windows. Until the end of March, callas pdfAutoOptimizer for SWITCH is available at a special introductory price.
